Nina Shapiro

Dr. Nina Shapiro is Professor of Head and Neck Surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, and Director of Pediatric Otolaryngology at the Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA. Her work dispelling medical myths has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, NPR, CNN, and Business Insider. She is a Contributor to Forbes Health. Her book HYPE: A Doctor's Guide to Medical Myths, Exaggerated Claims and Bad Advice: How to Tell What's Real and What's Not has been translated into four languages and was a "Publisher's Weekly" "Best Book of 2018."
